| Remarks | 100 % authentic, extremely rare, ” Brevets ” is french for “invention” or “patent”. Blancpain, a very small company at the time, partnered with the French manufacturer Lip to conquer the local market. In the 1960s, Lip decided to present its own dive watch with a French in-house movement, and borrowed some of the patents from Blancpain, hence the “Brevets Blancpain” line on the dial ( Hodinkee ) |
